VAGINAL THRUSH
You are not alone!
Thrush is one of the most common forms of vaginal infection. So common, in fact, that millions of women ? a staggering 3 in 4 women all over the world ? experience the symptoms of vaginal thrush at some time in their life. Some only have it once, but many have several bouts every year.
So if you do think you may be experiencing thrush, don?t worry. You are certainly not alone!
Who can I talk to if I think I have thrush?
If you have never had thrush before, arrange to visit your Doctor. Once your Doctor has confirmed that you have thrush, he/she will be able to recommend treatment. Don?t be afraid to discuss your treatment with your Doctor ? it is important for you to understand what it will involve.
If you have suffered thrush in the past, you can go directly to your Pharmacist who can recommend a suitable over-the-counter treatment.
If your thrush does not go away or if it recurs, it is important to see your Doctor for advice. He/she can confirm or review the diagnosis, rule out any underlying conditions that may be causing your thrush to persist or recur and recommend the most suitable treatment for your particular situation.
