TREATMENTS

Vaginal thrush is treated with anti-fungal medications that stop the growth of Candida yeast without affecting the "helpful" bacteria in the vagina.

Vaginal Creams

Creams are inserted into the vagina with the help of an applicator, or applied directly onto the parts which are itchy and sore. They can be used once or over several days, depending upon the dose prescribed.

Vaginal Pessaries

Pessaries are tablets that are inserted into the vagina with either an applicator or clean finger. Pessaries dissolve, leaving an even distribution of the active treatment in the vagina.

Oral Treatments

During the 1980s new types of anti-fungal treatments were developed - medicines that can be taken by mouth. Introducing DiFLUCAN One.
